Midland Red in black and white

WHEN I was a boy in Leicestershire, Midland Red buses were a prominent feature of our lives. My Uncle Sam was a driver with the company.

I was lying in bed the other morning when an image came into my mind of a Midland Red bus in a black and white townscape. So here it is.

The picture is called Midland Red Bus 1956, which is about right when you consider the style of bus shown here, and the steam-hauled goods train in the background.

I've developed a taste for black and white drawings. Stand by for more in the coming months.
