A wet weekend looms

WITH August Bank Holiday on its way, it seems appropriate to paint holidaymakers braving the rain as they walk along a seaside promenade.

This happy band are determined to enjoy themselves, even though smiles are in short supply.

In fact, summer 2018 has been so good in Cornwall that glum faces have been rare, but the forecast for the coming holiday weekend is far from encouraging.

The English summer seems determined to leave us with at least one wet weekend before vanishing into autumn.

So here it is - Promenading in the Rain. Hoist the brollies!
