Workshop in black and white

May 2, 2019

BLACK and white drawings with a colour counterpoint are an attractive addition to any painter's repertoire.

I've tried it a few times with varying degrees of success, and decided to have another go after seeing a striking example of the  genre on the cover of a novel by J G Ballard.

This one is called simply Workshop, with three figures surrounded by the accoutrements of the mechanical trade, including the illuminated forge.

Moderately successful, I think.
