Urban scene in black and grey

IN one sense, this picture is unfinished. Its eventual title will be Townscape in Black, Grey and Gold.

However, I thought I'd display it under its current title, which is Townscape in Black and Grey.

It's on a familiar theme, the urban landscape, which lends itself to numerous interpretations.

IN this image, I experiment with shapes, mainly triangular, to emphasise the stark lines and deep shadows of the urban environment.

It echoes the work of someone considerably more famous than I am, but I forget who.
