THE new history of Flushing has received the ultimate 21st century accolade. It's been mentioned on Facebook!

A Mylor Bridge lady has published a photo of the book over a message saying she had settled down with a drink - and the book - for a no doubt well-deserved post-Christmas chill-out.

Another reader emailed to say: 'I'm fifty pages in - great stuff!' while a lady in France said: 'A lovely book that will be treasured.'

Best compliment of all came from a lady whose husband lost interest in books after suffering a stroke. 'But he's reading your history of Flushing,' she said.

That's worth a grand in royalties in itself...
