An uplifting tale of Three Bears
THERE'S nothing quite like a pottery session with the grandchildren to bring out the best in part-time ceramicists like me. The story of The Three Bears took on new dimensions when we all got our hands on great, gooey lumps of prime St Agnes clay, dug from a pit in North Cornwall.
The three bears featured in the above print materialised from an hour-long session during which we moulded, coiled and man-handled clay into a number of forms, including vases, bowls and - as seen above - animal forms. An appealing hippo is also awaiting a few finishing touches.
Few activities are more absorbing than pottery and clay modelling. Try it.
