Big Fish makes his artistic debut
ON the face of it, this is just another of my 'stained glass' pictures.
For some time now, I've been experimenting with subjects that offer themselves for treatment in stained glass. One of these days, I will actually convert them into glass panels, but that's a project for another day.
This painting is of medieval knights armed with long shields and swords. But its real purpose is to fuse shapes and colours into a a satisfying whole.
I think it works tolerably well, but its real distinction is that it is the first to carry my new 'Big Fish' motif, which I explained in an earlier blog.
The fish sign incorporates my initials JM and will grace every picture and pot I produce from now on. Thanks to my grandkids for coming up with the idea.
Meanwhile, I give you MEDIEVAL KNIGHTS IN STAINED GLASS. Enjoy!
