Behold my brush pen debut
DOOMED is the artist who doesn't strive for new ideas.
Equally doomed is the dabbler, dauber or doodler who doesn't seek to use new tools and media.
This startling work, entitled Promenading, is my first picture to be rendered with brush pens.
I had never heard of brush pens until I wandered into The Works one day and found a box of them among the store's fine array of art accessories.
Having used everything from gel pens and wax pastels to crayons and markers, it seemed only right that I should give them a go.
This is my debut - a semi-abstract study of walkers in an urban environment.
It will be among works on show on my Christmas stall in Charlestown in December.
