A Touch of Modigliani

BROWSING in a retro shop the other day, I stumbled upon some pictures by the incomparable Modigliani. His elongated women's faces have always intrigued me, just as I've always marvelled at the spindly sculptural forms of Giacometti.

During an idle moment this week, I produced this five-minute sketch of two women, inspired by Modigliani. Hence the title: Modigliani Women. I quite like it.
