Meet stony-faced Leonard Lockdown

OUR village has asked everyone to produce a painted stone to add a bit of colour to life during the dreaded lockdown.

The idea is to place them near our garden gates so they can be judged by a panel from the village arts week committee.

You will not be surprised to learn that Yours Truly was unable to resist the challenge.

Thus, with acrylics and brushes at the ready, I produced this glum-looking fellow - a man clearly thoroughly peed off with twelve weeks of self-imposed incarceration.

His name is Leonard Lockdown, and he will serve as an imperishable reminder of the glorious spring when most of the British population went round the twist.
